What do you see in the photo above? Do you see the craftsmanship of the builder, who with their bare hands, built this abandoned home with materials from the earth? What does this remind you of? Genesis 1:1 In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Did you understand that, did you really get it? The LORD GOD formed you and breathed HIS breath into you to give you life!
Over and over again, we often look over little things in life, such as this typical mud hut in Guatemala and miss the message that God has for us. This photo was taken March 25, 2018, and today as I was looking for it to just write a short story about what God can do, and has done, I too overlooked this simple message almost 4 years ago. God formed us from the same earth this mud hut was formed from and breathed HIS breath into us to give us life and a living soul. We were made in God’s image.
Sometimes we get bogged down with the mud and dirt of all the things that happen in our life we miss these moments. We let the mud and dirt drag us down and pull us in. May I encourage you today to look up, and reach up, for the Heavenly Father’s HAND. HIS HAND is always waiting there for you, to pull you out of whatever mud and dirt life has you in.
God gave us knowledge and creativity, and dreams and visions. Just like whoever built this mud hut had a vision to build it, God too gives us visions for HIS work, if we are looking.
What you see in the photo below may look to you like an abandoned and run down adobe brick home. However, what I saw was a future ministry opportunity, right in the heart of where help was needed.
God give us all dreams and visions, because we are made in HIS image, with HIS breath. But most of us don’t act on those dreams and visions. Let me encourage you through the slideshow below to not be afraid to dream, but act on those dreams and visions by stepping out in faith. Once you take that first step, God will do the rest.
