Today we had 75 children come for lunch. I never want to turn children away. We will always find a place to seat them. We will also always find something to feed them. Today, we had no more tables or places to seat the extra children that came. Thus, we had to seat them in our technology lab. This year came with new changes to our staff, and a commitment to give better food for the children. Additionally, we have two young ladies helping with our Bible and educational program. The children are loving the changes, thus more children coming each week.
As you can see from the photos below, there really is not much more room. It literally is wall to wall with children.
After lunch is cleared, the children are learning how to read numbers. They are first working on coloring their numbers. They will cut them out on Wednesday. The process will be taught in a creative way.
You are looking at the solution above. This is a view of just half of the space. There will be just as much space in the other direction. This is the space above the new medical clinic that is under construction. This will be our new feeding center, lovingly named “Willow’s Place”. We are looking for folks to help get involved financially. We use a solid cookie cutter design. This allows us to reuse the same forms for the concrete repeatedly. This keeps our construction costs low so we can maximize our donors funds to the fullest. We would appreciate folks getting involved in praying and giving something on a regular monthly basis. This keeps us moving ahead with the vision and the work God has placed before us.
