Now more than ever we really need your help to finish our mission home and medical clinic. This past fall I spend some time in Guatemala and visited the local government run medical clinic for the poor in Los Limones. The building was run down and falling apart. I would have stepped through the termite eaten floor had it not been for the Nurse Practitioner stopping me.
Today I learned that they are no longer able to use that building and currently have no clinic. We have offered our community center/church, however that building has no privacy and it is not secure. It will serve as a temporary location until we can come up with the funds to finish the mission home clinic.
We need $50k to complete the first phase which is the first floor. This clinic and educational center is greatly needed in this area. Without this clinic children and babies will get sick and some will probably die, because these families can not afford to take them to the hospital an hour away in Zacapa.
Below was the meeting with the health officials from the government granting us permission to use as a medical clinic once it is completed. They will provide the staff and medicines, we supply the facility.
This multi-use facility will ultimately be 3 levels and be used for a technologically advanced medical clinic, technology and vocational training center, feeding center, mission home, and so much more. We need at a minimum $50,000 to complete and equip the first floor medical clinic, meeting area, and kitchen.
