We have been dropping little hints here and there over the last several weeks on our social media accounts, as to what God has been doing through us. And some videos have been leaked early, but we are excited to announce now those plans publicly. On Tuesday August 17, 2021 in Los Limones, Gualan, Zacapa Guatemala we announced the inauguration of His Hands International’s Dream Center to the community, invited guests, public officials, and the news media.
Several years ago, I asked the Lord for a message of hope that I can share with the world as to what HE is doing through this ministry. My question to the Lord was why me Lord, why us, we are just simple ordinary folk. We don’t have degrees or initials in front or behind our names, we are just ordinary people who love the Lord, and love to serve others. Exactly, was the response I received in my spirit from the Lord. Then I was given what has become the cornerstone in everything I do, ministry, business, life. As the caption on the banner above reads: Dream big, Listen for God’s voice, Step out in faith, give God the glory, and dream bigger. This new ministry campus is what we have passionately named, His Hands International Dream Center, or Sus Manos Internacional Centro de Sueños.
This young man is one of many reasons why we dream big dreams for God’s glory, to change his life for the glory of God. Because God has given us big dreams, we want to provide the opportunity for these children to have big dreams, and then provide the education, resources and encouragement for them to be that broken chain in their families cycle of poverty.
Our center will have four medical clinics: general practice, dental, sonogram & other technologies, and a dermatology clinic. We will have a large commercial kitchen we have several plans of providing cooking classes, how to sanitize and clean, safe food handling, and the likes. It will serve in times of disaster to help feed folks as we did during the flooding, and we will use it for our child feeding program. There will be a large multi-purpose area for teaching and gatherings. The first floor will have a large warehouse area that can also be used for multi-purposes. And we will have two dorm style rooms to allow us to host mission teams at a low cost, which allows more folks to go on mission,
Our Architects have done an incredible job at taking a vision which I explained verbally, and bringing it to life. This project is huge, it is a really big dream and vision, but we have a big God we serve. This center will have over 12,000 square feet of ministry space to serve God in various areas. As I have learned and shared in the past, when God gives a vision and we take that step of faith, then God begins to work in absolutely incredible ways to provide. Our web site is full of God sized stories where we give God the glory for what HE is doing through us. It is HIS work in and through us, nothing that we are doing, we are just His hands to do HIS work, and ALWAYS giving HIM the glory!
Future expansion will include our technology vocational training center. This center will teach actual trades which future students can use for employment in various fields, hopefully breaking the cycle of poverty in their family and bringing about a change in Guatemala for these impoverished communities. We will also have a small recreation area for the children and families to come together for various Christ centered events we will host. Additional plans include gardens, and a greenhouse where we can teach folks how to grow their own fruits and vegetables.
We are praying and dreaming how we can use our existing clinic space once the new center is completed. Rest assured, we will have a dream, we will be listening, and when we hear that still small voice of the Holy Spirit, we will be stepping out in faith, so we can give God the glory for what HE does!
